Strip club fighting Ogden order to close

Ogden The owner of an Ogden strip club is fighting a city order to close.

Lighthouse Lounge owner John Chevalier says he has filed a letter appealing Mayor Matthew Godfrey�s deadline to close the club by today.

Chevalier says a city zoning ordinance for sexually oriented businesses does not follow state law. He says the closing order didn�t give the club enough time to recover his investment.

Chevalier says his letter contesting the closing date sends the issue back to Godfrey. He says if Godfrey decides to keep the bar closed, Chevalier will take the city to court.

Chevalier says he plans to keep the club open while the legal battle continues.
